Most of the metastatic tumors in the skeletal system originate from cancer of the thyroid, breast, lung, and prostate, but in up to 15% of tumors, the primary site is unknown. Well differenciated adenocarcinoma is the most common microscopic diagnosis in patients with carcinoma of an unknown primary site, and these patients haute a poor prognosis. We report a case with cervical myeloradiculopathy due to spinal metastasis of papillary adenocarcinoma of unknown primary origin. The patient had 3 months history of clumsiness and neck pain radiating to both upper extremities. The authors performed resection of vertebral bodies and anterior interbody fusion with mesh wire and Orion plate. Pain, neurologic abnormalities and walking disability had improved by postoperative 2 weeks.
